The Mom Moment by Nurtured 9

this month it’s all about love!

February 2023

Welcome to the February edition of The Mom Moment, where we share a little bit of this
and a little bit of that from our small (Mama-run!) business, Nurtured 9.

Wishing you all a beautiful Valentine’s Day!

We Asked: New motherhood can be surprisingly isolating during a time where you are actually full of questions. How have you found ways-both big and small-to ask for support and find your Mom village?

She Answered: “When I became a mom, I remember feeling totally overwhelmed and really lonely, and also almost embarrassed for feeling either of those things. There is this strange combination of both information overload (eeeveryone has an opinion), and feeling like so little of what's out there is genuinely helpful.

I wanted to find MY people, and it was important to me to maintain at least parts of my pre-baby identity. I also wanted to find expertise that I could trust, that would allow me to feel more confident and comfortable in my new role as a mom, and stop me from constantly questioning whether I was doing any of this right.

It does parents such a disservice to perpetuate the idea that it should be intuitive, that asking for help is somehow a sign of weakness. Everyone deserves to feel supported along the way, and a village is a must-have, not a nice to have.

In large part that's why we created Cooper - because we wanted a place where anyone who needs it can come and connect, find their tribe, and have access to real, trustworthy experts who totally get what you're going through and are able to help you navigate anything and everything. No judgment, no shame, just real talk, real friends, and real support. It's been such a privilege to see the community grow, and to watch how people are leaning on Cooper daily, to make their parenting experience even more joyful and a whole lot easier.”
